5 Ideas You Can Do for Your Significant Other on Valentine’s Day

By Hlub Her

Valentine’s Day can feel overwhelming, especially if it’s your first Valentine’s Day together with your significant other, or if you have been with your partner for awhile and you’re starting to run out of ideas of things to do for Valentine’s Day, but don’t worry.

Here are 5 ideas you can do on Valentine’s Day for your significant other.

#1: Make a Valentine’s Day card.

Receiving a homemade card feels so special. It’s a simple yet thoughtful gift to give to someone you love. If your significant other is anything like me, they will appreciate the time and effort you put into it, so don’t feel discouraged if you don’t have the “skills” for it. It’s the thought that counts.

#2: Curate a personalized spa basket.

Gather items your partner has been wanting to try for a while or help them restock items you know they love to use. If you’re not sure what to give them, you can never go wrong with must-have products anyone can use daily such as cleansers, moisturizers, sunscreens and skincare items. These types of products will help protect your skin and make it look healthier.

#3: Leave a love message.

Write a simple “I love you message” or little messages reminding your significant other what you love and appreciate about them. You can then post these mini love notes on a mirror where they can see when they wake up, on the wall, or somewhere scattered throughout the house. Kind of like a scavenger hunt leading to some sort of special gift or decorated Valentine’s Day theme room with something special.

#4: Cook up a special treat.

You can make this as simple or complex as you want, whether it’s cooking a special dinner or baking some treats.

Now, if you’re the type of person who is not that great of a cook or baker (like me), don’t worry. You can still make something simple yet thoughtful and delicious by using this one tool: a heart-shaped cookie cutter.

You can use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to make some cute Valentine’s Day heart shaped:

Fried eggs. Put the cookie cutter in the pan and drop that egg.

Pancakes. Same as the fried egg. Put it in the pan and drizzle that batter.

Sandwiches. Make a regular sandwich of your choice and then drill in the hearts.

Cookies. Make your own cookie dough or buy it pre-made.

#5: Plan a romantic indoor picnic.

Lay out a soft blanket on the floor. Throw some cushy pillows and blankets for cuddling. Then light some candles and whip out some food you know they will enjoy or have been wanting to try. This is a great way to relax, talk and maybe even reminisce about old times together.

Whether you decide to try a few of these ideas, all 5 of these ideas, or none of them, don’t forget that Valentine’s Day is all about being together and showing how much you love and appreciate one another, so don’t let yourself get too overwhelmed with planning the perfect Valentine’s Day.
